The temple was originally built by Avatar Aang himself. Comprised of several structures, including a large tower, several smaller buildings with blue roofs, and an open practice area, the Air Temple Island is home to the Air Acolytes and Tenzin and his family. Now that airbenders are starting to pop up all over the world the island serves as a sanctuary for those looking to learn their new bending art form.
