ALIAS(ES): " Prince" a joking nickname used by some of his squad
BIRTHDAY: July, 16th
BIRTHPLACE: Fire Nation Capitol
CURRENT: Republic City
FAMILY:
• Grandfather: Zuko, age 87
• Mother: Izumi, aged 51
• Sister: Honora, aged 21

RANK: General of the United Forces/ Prince of the Fire Nation

Firebending: Growing up as part of the Fire Nation Royal Family, he was trained both by firebending tutors and even his own grandfather Zuko. He is a skilled firebending master able to conjure huge amounts of flame to propel himself at high speeds similar to flight for lenghty periods of time. He is also able to mix firebending while exhaling from his mouth to create a breath of flame.
Lightning Bending: Skilled in the secondary art of firebending as he is in the first, Iroh is able to rapidly generate lightning when needed.
Lightning Redirection: Trianed by Zuko as he had been trianed by his namesake, Iroh has learned how to redirect the course of lightning strikes by absorbing it through one arm, guiding it through the stomach, and out the other arm.
Martial Arts and Weapons Training: Given his status his royal tutoring included training in non bending fighting styles as well as trianing in weaponry, specifically swords. While he has had less time to practice these days, he still remains a formidble proficiency.
Military training: Due to his time in the United Force, Iroh is well adept in military protocol and tactics
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
SCARS AND MARKINGS: He has a few scars from various missions and such. After the Equalist Incursion he gained a burn scar along his left arm. He also has a red dragon tatoo on his left shoulder blade, which he got along with the rest of his squad after his first sucessful mission when he was 18 , though few outside of the UF know about it.
UNIFORM: He has his formal United Forces Uniform. The jacket is colored red with gold trimming, a black belt, white trousers, and black boots. When in the city under his official capacity he tends to wear a less formal uniform, and one more suited for active duty. While normally this would be enough, becuase of President Raiko's orders that have given him a more stationary assignment to Republic City, he has recenlty been forced to aquire more clothesthat are less military and more civilian in nature. He has both casual clothes and more formal clothes as he is often dragged to political functions now that hee is stuck here.
DESCRIPTION: With short cut black hair and dark eyes that flash when empassioned by something, Iroh is considered quite handsome, with a althetic profile and clean shaven face. He is tall and muscular though not overly bulky instead maintaing a more sleek musculature giving an overall thinner profile than other commanders in the United Forces.

Fear: One day Iroh will be the next Fire Lord, a postion that has both been one of great fame and great infamy, to that end his fear lies sqaurely in worrying that he either won't live up to the legacy or he will in the worst way.
Desire: To live up to his grandfathers and mothers legacies
HABITS: Even though he keeps his face clean shaven he has a tendancy to stroke his chin when in depe thought a trait he picked up from his grandfather.
PET PEEVE: he tends to be a more patient man than most, however he can not stand those that in his mind disrespect the United Forces uniform that they have on.
STRENGTHS:
• Cool under pressure
• Down to Earth
• Loyal
• Tenacious
WEAKNESSES:
• Bound by the rule of law and military
• Can be bossy in a crisis
• Hates formal situations
• Insecure about what his legacy will be
TRAITS: Iroh is a disciplined and determined man, unwilling to give up without a fight.Fiercely tenacious and idealistic, he has seen enough in his time in the military to also realize that ideals, sometimes have to be forsaken for the sake of doing whats right, though he belives that it will not always be necessary. This struggle of ideals and reality can sometimes cause issues with the code and command of the military that he is apart of, though when push comes to shove he tends to side with the law over his perosnla feelings, no matter how ard it may be sometimes.
Like his namesake, he is very cautious and methodical in his approach during battle. Furthermore, he has shown great bravery on the field, willing to risk his life to aid his allies without hesitation.
Despite his senior rank among the United Forces and his status as a member of the Fire Nation Royal Family, Iroh is a humble man, openly showing his sincere gratitude for other people's assistance. Likewise, Iroh is very loyal to his friends, is protective of the people he cares about, willing to do whatever is in his power to help
When among friends or squadmates off duty he is often quite relaxed and more at ease. However in formal situations he can seem a bit more stiff mainly due to the fact that his own uncomfortability in this situations causes him to revert back to his more military deocorum.

HISTORY:
The first born son of Firelord Izumi, Iroh was named after his great grand uncle, the infamous Dragon of the West and the famous liberator Ba sing Se during the dark times of the Fire Nation. Quite the legacy to live up to. When he was young he had the best tutors and teachers educating him on all things. When it was revealed that he was also a fire bender, he received tutors in that as well. Many believed him to be a prodigy in Fire Bending as he quickly picked up on it, however the truth was that he simply tenacious. When there was a move he struggled with, he would stay up well into the night practicing in secret to master it, therefore the next day when he would have it down, it would seem effortless to those around him.
However his grandfather saw that his grandson was going at his training a bit too intensely and missing out on the fun that could be had as a child. So with that Zuko announced that he would take over the boys training and no one could argue with the former Firelord. However during that time with his grandson, while there was some training it was mostly, letting the child relax a bit and tell him of stories of the old days. Iroh appreciated it, to this day as it let him take off the weight of being the first born and heir for a bit.
Now taking some more time for himself, Iroh would round up various other noble children and they would get htem involved in various adventures. Included in this group were the twins Zuka and Zula, who Iroh had met originally at some formal function as their parents were part of the Royal Fire nation court, however he soon roped them into his adventures as well as the three of them soon became friends.
However as time passed and Iroh grew up his adventures lessened and he became withdrawn as he focused on what was ahead for him. However as he inched ever closer to manhood, he decided to join the United Forces, figuring it would give him a chance to see more of the world, without having to go through the lens of royal protection. His grandfather was very pleased and his mother, while it took some convincing in the end also agreed.
So with that Iroh entered into the United Forces a the age of 18. It was not the easiest transition, as when he first entered basic training many of his fellow servicemen and women thought that him being there was a political move, others thought that he didn't belong there in the first place. His time there was a bit rough, but eventually he proved himself, and earned his spot. Iroh figured he'd see the world for a bit, and then go on to the next thing, however instead something else happened.
It turned out was very good at being in the United Forces, even more surprising he liked that he was good at it. He quickly rose to become a squad leader, then rose up again until he was the youngest General in United Forces History.
___
During the battle for Republic City, Tenzin sent a message to General Iroh requesting the support of the United Forces. The General accepted the request for help, wishing to reclaim Republic City from the Equalists alongside Avatar Korra, and led his fleet of battleships to the city.
Once Iroh and his fleet reached the shores of Republic City, he was surprised at the apparent silence and the fact that there were no Equalists awaiting them on shore despite their knowing about his arrival. However, the general and his fleet were quickly overwhelmed by a series of naval mines and the new high-speed aircraft fielded by the Equalists. At one point, Iroh himself attacked from the helm of his ship, launching fire blasts at the enemy biplanes; he managed to destroy several until he struck a bomb in midair with his firebending. The resulting explosion catapulted the General overboard and into the ocean, where he was later rescued by Avatar Korra.
General Iroh instructed Gommu to send a message of caution to Commander Bumi, warning him about the Equalists' biplanes.
With his fleet destroyed, Iroh and Team Avatar hid in the sewers of Republic City. While he had his wounds healed by the Avatar, he and the team planned to take out the Equalist airfield. To prevent the second fleet from being destroyed as well, Iroh sent a message to Commander Bumi via former telegraph operator Gommu, telling him to wait with his fleet at Red Sand Island until the airfield was taken out. Korra decided to stay in Republic City to face Amon, although Iroh did not approve of the idea. Korra insisted and Mako decided to stay with her. The General allowed her to stay, stating that his grandfather would have trusted the Avatar's instinct and he should as well.
When Iroh, Asami, and Bolin reached the airfield, despite Asami's confusion over the airfield being surrounded by a fence with no wires, they proceeded anyway and were electroshocked by an electric fence that surrounded the complex. They were caught and subsequently imprisoned, where the group was confronted by Hiroshi Sato, who told them that he had intercepted General Iroh's wire to Bumi and knew exactly where his fleet was hiding. Seeking a means of escaping, the General asked Bolin if he was a metalbender, but he answered that he was not, much to Iroh's disappointment. Naga, however, arrived on the scene shortly afterward and broke the three out of their cell, allowing them to head toward the airstrips.
After escaping, Iroh pursued a taxiing biplane down a runway. By utilizing his firebending in a manner similar to rocket propulsion, he successfully boarded the plane as it took off, hijacked it, and forced the pilot to bail out.
Once inside, Iroh struggled to control the machine; eventually, however, the general gained control of the aircraft and used it to intercept a squadron of five aircraft flying over Republic City. He was able to destroy two airplanes during his initial attack with lightning. Following this, his own biplane was destroyed when an Equalist bola jammed the propellers.
Once again utilizing the rocket propulsion technique, Iroh boarded a second plane, fatally damaging another plane with his firebending before commandeering the biplane. During the fight, Iroh's biplane was damaged by the last aircraft which had dropped a bomb on the tail of his aircraft. As the other biplane prepared to continue the bombing, Iroh used his firebending to detonate the remaining bombs in the attacking plane's bomb bay.
Despite his success, Iroh's airplane was damaged to the extent that it could no longer remain airborne. He unsuccessfully attempted to steer the plane away from Aang Memorial Island and had to bail out, grabbing onto the Equalist banner hanging from the statue of Aang to save himself. Iroh watched as his biplane crashed into the statue's face, causing the giant replica of Amon's mask to fall off into the water. Iroh subsequently thanked Aang for watching over him.
Iroh devised a plan to help Korra and the Southern Water Tribe without blatantly going against President Raiko.
Six months after the end of the Anti-bending Revolution, Avatar Korra requested Iroh's help once again to aid the southerners against the Northern Water Tribe. Aware that helping Korra would mean going against President Raiko, Iroh informed her nonetheless that he was willing to help, musing that he could mask it as a routine training session; if he were to take his fleet south and happened to encounter hostile Northern troops, he would have to defend himself. However, in the middle of their meeting, President Raiko boarded the ship, commanding Iroh to remain at the harbor unless he received direct orders from the President stating otherwise. Raiko made it clear that if Iroh were to disobey those orders, he was to be court-martialed. Unable to help Korra out himself, he suggested that she travel to the Fire Nation to talk to his mother, the Fire Lord, as she and his grandfather had always been good friends with the Avatar and the Southern Water Tribe.
During the Harmonic Convergence, Iroh was ordered by President Raiko to protect Republic City. Upon seeing a large incarnate of Unalaq and Vaatu merged, the general ordered his troops to attack him. However, their attempts proved to be futile as the Dark Avatar easily neutralized their attacks, and waterbent the battleships away with a large wave.
__
After the Harmonic Convergence, Iroh spent most of his time, looking into the escaping Red Lotus members, eventually taking them back into custody after the Avatar had dealt with them. After that he spent time in many different ports, while the Avatar went to heal from her injuries.
Recently though he was recalled back to Republic City as president Raiko ordered him and his batallion to station there on a permanent basis, to deal with the increasing threat of a new Triad called the Black Hand. While Raiko had only garrisoned there as backup to the police, it quickly became clear that Raiko intended them to take over the investigation and enforcement against the Triad from the Republic City police.
Needless to say Cheif Beifong did not take this well, and Iroh could understand why. It made the UF seem like overbearing bullies and the police look incompetent. However, Ioh managed to smooth things over by saying that they were only here to assist and while Cheif Beifong still made a bit of scene about it in public, later when she and Iroh met in private she confessed to him that she was glad for his assistance because given how quickly this Triad had spread she was worried that her officers may be on the take. Iroh promised to not step on her toes, so long as she integrated his men into the day to day police procedures and gave him leeway to look into this.
With the agreement made Iroh found himself in one place for the first time in many years, tracking down Triad strongholds and trying to get a hold on what was going on, However despite the new threat Iroh also began to notice that sometimes thier own United Forces inventory would come up off, making him wonder if integrating them into the police units has only casued new problems.
