Before she came to Republic City, Neva couldn’t see herself ever setting foot in the criminal element. Now, she’s too intertwined with it to look away. For her the city has been the source of her greatest pain and best opportunity--forming friendships and establishing a life for herself away from home. She’s learned a lot about herself, had her patience and abilities tested over and over again, and even adjusted her moral compass. With the threat of The Shadow looming over Republic City, Neva has no doubt she’s in for a long, hard ride. Even so, she’s ready to stand by her friends without flinching and act as she knows best: by doing what she thinks is right.
Friends
Having not a shred of shyness and an outgoing personality, making friends is one of the things that Neva’s always been great at doing. She’s the type to lend an ear to whoever needs it, and will either give as helpful advice as she can manage, or comfort when necessary. Neva also has no issue extending her hand if she can manage it, as she’s done many times with her healing abilities to her close friends. But Neva also knows when to keep quiet and to herself when the situation calls for it. While she has to be on high alert since Jaya’s take over of the city, Neva is still welcoming to those she meets. As long as they prove they aren’t a threat to her friends, they can consider themselves a friend of hers.
Enemies
There was a time when this list was nearly nonexistent, but those days have long since passed. Being a healer to the vigilantes has no doubt made Neva acquire her own enemies, though the feeling is mutual. Anyone connected to The Black Hand or that simply goes after her friends is an enemy to her. That being said, if she catches anyone hurting others or engaging in any other distasteful behavior, they’ll make the list just as quickly.
Lovers
One of Neva’s reasons for leaving home long ago was to avoid the sticky situation of falling into an arranged marriage. In the past, she’s been relatively against being in a relationship for the discomfort of being tied down. But, times change. With freedom to choose and make her decisions, the aspect of dating isn’t as heavy on her shoulders as it once was, even if she still approaches any serious idea of it hesitantly. But the threat of The Shadow is more of a concern to her than her love life, and absolutely her main priority. That being said, Neva has an open heart, and if someone manages to crawl their way in, it is unlikely that she’ll let it go so simply.
